Kaufmann gets life for killing partner and baby daughter

(ANSA) - ROME, 05 NOV - Francis Kaufmann, a 47-year-old American, has been sentenced to life imprisonment, with an additional three years of daytime isolation, for the double femicide that took place in June 2025 at Villa Pamphili in Rome when he killed his 29-year-old Russian partner ad their 11-month-old baby daughter in the well-known Roman park. The verdict was delivered by the judges of the first Assize Court in the Italian capital. California native Kaufmann was found guilty of killing his partner, Anastasia Trofimova, by suffocation, and, several hours later, strangling their 11-month-old daughter, Andromeda. The bodies of the two victims were discovered in the Roman park, just a few metres apart. (ANSA). Read article...
