(ANSA) - ABIDJAN, 07 OTT - “Italy Meets Côte d’Ivoire” is an event organized by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Abidjan, and many other Italian and Ivorian institutions, including the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts of Côte d’Ivoire and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire (CCI-CI), the West African Development Bank (BOAD), the African Development Bank (AfDB), and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), is organizing an event to present CDP Business Matching to the Ivorian market. The event will take place on October 16, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m., in person in Abidjan at Tour Postel 2001—Plateau—26th Floor—Abidjan, and will be live-streamed on CDP Business Matching. The various presentations will explore trends in the Ivorian market and areas for potential collaboration between Italian and local companies; Trade between Italy and the Ivory Coast in 2025 totaled 829.4 million euros, representing a 10.9% increase compared to 2024. Italian exports to the Ivory Coast reached 292 million euros, while imports from the Ivory Coast totaled 537.4 million euros; these figures highlight the well-established trade relations between the two countries. The event aims to highlight key sectors in order to identify new opportunities for strengthening and establishing further trade agreements and cooperation between companies. Following the conclusion of the event and in the weeks that follow, online B2B (Business-to-Business) meetings are scheduled between companies and professionals, with the support of CDP specialists who will assist in organizing the meetings. The initiative is part of a week of in-person events in Abidjan dedicated to strengthening economic relations between Italy and Côte d’Ivoire, with the highlight being the “Italy Meets Côte d’Ivoire” on October 16, during which the CDP Business Matching Platform will be presented to facilitate connections and the development of new economic and commercial partnerships between Italian and Ivorian companies.
