    An award to support women’s entrepreneurship was presented in Kabul

    (ANSA) - ROMA, 08 OTT - The Italian Embassy in Kabul hosted the presentation of the “Women Business Prize Afghanistan,” established by “Nove Caring Humans,” an Italian third-sector organization, to support Afghan women entrepreneurs. “Highlighting and raising awareness of these significant examples of engagement in the private sector confirms the Italian government’s commitment to the social and economic inclusion of Afghan women, in line with our participation in the UN-led Private Sector Working Group of the Doha Process for Afghanistan,” said Ambassador Sabrina Ugolini in her remarks. The vice president of “Nove,” Susanna Fioretti, presented the initiative to the diplomatic community of the Doha Process and to representatives of the World Bank Office in Kabul, the International Labor Organization, and the ICE Office in Qatar, which are responsible for Afghanistan. The first call for proposals, published in 2025, generated widespread interest among Afghan women entrepreneurs and led to the awarding of grants to three women involved in local projects.
