(ANSA) - ROME, 07 OTT - Premier Giorgia Meloni renewed her government's commitment to fighting antisemitism on Wednesday in a message marking the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks. "On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks saw the massacre of men, women, and children; young people gathered for music were assaulted, and innocent individuals were torn from their families and dragged into captivity," Meloni said in a statement. "Today, we remember the victims of that barbarity and renew our solidarity with their loved ones, with those who endured the horror of abduction, and with the people of Israel. Remembering this also means renewing our commitment to combating every form of antisemitism. "Precisely in the name of protecting the whole civilian population involved, we cannot remain indifferent to the dramatic, unacceptable suffering of the people of Gaza or the escalating violence to which Palestinian civilians in the West Bank are subjected. "This spiral of violence must be broken.
