Two brothers set ablaze by illegal fuel sellers in Faisalabad

TOBA TEK SINGH: Two brothers were allegedly set ablaze by illegal petrol sellers near Nullah Wala Bypass Road Chowk in Chak Jhumra tehsil of Faisalabad on Saturday. Reports said Nadeem Qadir (25) and Hafiz Noman Qadir (35) purchased petrol from an illegal fuel seller for their bike. A scuffle broke out after the brothers found that they had been charged more than the actual price. Reports claimed that enraged fuel dealers, identified as Haider Ali, Muhammad Wasim and Hammad Malik, sprayed petrol on the brothers and set them ablaze. Locals extinguished the fire and rescuers shifted them to the Chak Jhumra THQ Hospital where doctors referred them to the burns unit of the Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital. The accused persons managed to escape on a motorcycle and police were conducting raids to arrest them. TEENAGER RECOVERED: The Faisalabad Balochni police claimed to have recovered a 16-year-old kidnapped girl from Mandi Yazman, Bahawalpur. Police said abductee Maira Rauf was a first year student of a private college in Khurrianwala and claimed that she was abducted by a teacher of the same college. Police claimed the teacher, identified as Syed Asif Raza, lured her to Bahawalpur on September 5 and abducted her. Police claimed to have traced the whereabouts of the accused and a team led by SHO Mohsin Abbas conducted a raid and recovered the girl and arrested the accused person. ACCIDENT: Two persons were killed and another was critically injured when a trailer collided with a pick-up head-on on the Lahore-Jaranwala Road in Nankana Sahib on Saturday. After the collision, all three pick-up riders were severely injured and stuck in their damaged vehicle. Rescuers pulled them out after cutting the body of the vehicle with electric cutters. However, two of them succumbed to their injuries in the meantime. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Akram (52) and Sunny Khan (35), while the injured was identified as Nazim Ali (40). He had been shifted to the Nankana Sahib DHQ Hospital for treatment. HUMAN TRAFFICKER HELD: A Federal investigation agency (FIA) team led by Assistant Director Nida Umar arrested one Hassan Ali Bughdadi allegedly involved in human smuggling during a raid in Jalalpur Bhattian in Pindi Bhattian tehsil on Saturday. A statement by the Faisalabad FIA claimed that the accused was a member of an international human trafficking gang who sends people illegally to Iran and Iraq. It added that investigation would be made from him about the other members of his gang and they too would be nabbed. BLIND MURDER SOLVED: The Faisalabad Khurrianwala police claimed to have solved the blind murder of a motorcycle rickshaw driver and arrested his close friend for the murder. According to the police, victim Imdad Hussain left his house in Chak 210 RB Lakhwana in his rickshaw on July 24 and later his body was recovered from a deserted place. Police claimed that during investigation through geo-fencing, his friend Zahid Hussain was found to be near him. Police claimed he was taken into custody for investigation, and he confessed that he called the deceased to his outhouse to settle a monetary issue.
