The Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires hosts the monthly meeting of the Ucceb

(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, 15 LUG - The Italian Ambassador to Argentina, Fabrizio Nicoletti, was the guest of honor at the monthly meeting of the Union of Foreign and Binational Chambers of Commerce (Ucceb), organized for this occasion by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Argentine Republic and held today at the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires. In opening the proceedings, the Ambassador greeted the representatives of the member Chambers, emphasizing the fundamental role they play in promoting economic dialogue, investment, and cooperation between the public and private sectors. He also highlighted how the Embassy’s economic promotion activities derive particular value from the Chambers’ contributions, thanks to their deep understanding of the Argentine business landscape and the specific characteristics of the Argentine market. In his remarks, Ambassador Nicoletti highlighted the strategic nature of relations between Italy and Argentina, which are founded on deep historical, cultural, and economic ties, and reiterated that Argentina is an indispensable partner for Italy. In this context, he mentioned the upcoming joint mission by Confindustria and IILA, scheduled for Buenos Aires in early September, which will provide an important opportunity to further strengthen economic cooperation and foster new partnerships between the two countries’ industrial sectors, as part of the implementation of the Bilateral Action Plan signed in June 2025. With regard to Argentina’s current economic situation, the Ambassador also emphasized that the ongoing reform process and the growing focus on macroeconomic stability are sparking renewed interest from international investors, creating significant opportunities in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure, technological transition, and the knowledge economy. In this context, he highlighted the role of Chambers of Commerce in fostering the creation of networks, strengthening institutional relations, and developing new opportunities for collaboration. During the meeting, the distinguished Argentine economist Orlando Ferreres also spoke as a guest speaker, offering a comprehensive analysis of the country’s economic development trajectory, as well as future challenges and opportunities. This was followed by a fruitful exchange of views with the representatives of the Chambers. The meeting was attended by the presidents of 37 Chambers affiliated with UCCEB, as well as officials from the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Argentine Republic: President Giorgio Alliata di Montereale—who delivered opening remarks—Vice Presidents Francisco Tosi and Arturo Curatola, Treasurer Bruno Pallaro, and the Coordinator of the Union of Foreign and Binational Chambers of Commerce, Roberto Asseo de Choch.
