Batı Avrupa'da ortalama kara yüzeyi sıcaklığı 20,74 dereceyle 1991-2020 haziran ayı ortalamasının 3,05 derece üzerinde gerçekleşti. Böylece, Batı Avrupa'da Haziran 2025'te görülen sıcaklık rekoru geçen ay tazelenmiş oldu. ECMWF bünyesindeki C3S İklim Stratejik Lideri Samantha Burgess, Haziran 2026'daki sıcaklıkların iklimin köklü şekilde değiştiğini gösterdiğini belirterek, "Batı Avrupa, kayıtlardaki en sıcak haziran ayını yaşarken dünyadaki okyanuslarda da rekor düzeyde yüksek sıcaklıklar devam etti.
