İtalya Cumhuriyet Bayramı Üsküp ve Erivan'da diplomatik mesajlarla kutlandı

    Celebration of the 80th Italian Republic Day in Skopje

    (ANSA) - SKOPJE, 09 GIU - On the terrace of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, the Italian Embassy in Skopje celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic with an event dedicated to the values of peace, dialogue, and international cooperation. In attendance were the head of state, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, and the Minister of the Interior, Panche Toshkovski, and the Minister of Local Self-Government, Zlatko Pirinski. There was a large turnout from the Italian community, the diplomatic corps, and international organizations, as well as representatives of religious communities and figures from the economic, academic, and cultural spheres. On this occasion, Ambassador Paolo Palminteri reaffirmed the deep bond between Italy and North Macedonia, as friendly nations and allies, and Italy’s firm support for the path toward European integration. The Ambassador also highlighted the need to strengthen the European project through enlargement to the Western Balkans, Ukraine, and Moldova, recalling the crucial role of diplomacy: "It is up to diplomacy to safeguard the system of freedom and peaceful coexistence among states. The European Union plays a fundamental role as a common home of shared values. Cooperation among European states remains the only way to preserve our freedom and prosperity."     Celebrations in Yerevan for Italian Republic Day

    (ANSA) - ROMA, 09 GIU - Institutions, senior officials from the public administration, the diplomatic corps, religious authorities, and representatives from Armenia’s academic, cultural, museum, and business communities attended the Italian Republic Day celebration at the Ambassador’s Residence in Yerevan. In addition to Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, guest of honor representing the Government, those present included, among others, Deputy Ministers Arman Khojoyan (Economy), Armen Ghazaryan (Interior), Gevorg Mantashyan (Hi-Tech), Anna Karapetyan (Justice), Artur Martirosyan (Education, Science, Culture, and Sports), and Christine Ghalechyan (Territorial Administration and Infrastructure), as well as members of the National Assembly. In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan emphasized the deep bond of friendship uniting Italy and Armenia, recalling the relevance of Italy’s path toward regaining freedom and consolidating democracy, which began with the 1946 referendum and the election of the Constituent Assembly. He also highlighted the growing multisectoral cooperation between Rome and Yerevan, noting the recent visit by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the occasion of the eighth Summit of the European Political Community and Italy’s consistent support for strengthening relations between Armenia and the European Union. The Italian Ambassador, Alessandro Ferranti, highlighted the intense political dialogue and the numerous ongoing collaborations between the two countries in the economic, cultural, academic, sports, and mobility sectors. He also highlighted Italy’s increasingly significant role in the Armenian economy, having become Armenia’s leading trading partner among European Union countries in 2025. The ambassador then recalled some of the key initiatives that have marked bilateral relations over the past year, including the twinning of Yerevan and Naples, the performance of the opera *I Pagliacci* as part of the collaboration between the Yerevan Opera House and the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Italian archaeological missions to Aruch, Dvin, Garni, and Lake Sevan, the organization of the first Tour of Armenia cycling race with the involvement of RCS Sport, and the project to establish the first Juventus Academy in the country. Finally, Ferranti announced the imminent opening at the Embassy of a new regional office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, intended to serve as an important tool for further strengthening bilateral cooperation, also in view of the upcoming COP 17 on biodiversity. A concert by the Armenian National Chamber Music Orchestra, entitled “Homage to Italian Music: From the Baroque to Cinema,” held at the Komitas Chamber Music House in Yerevan, brought the celebrations to a close. Under the direction of Maestro Vag Papian and featuring mezzo-soprano Bella Amaryan, the concert featured works from the great Italian musical tradition, ranging from Corelli to Respighi, from Boccherini to Puccini, up to the more modern compositions of Mascagni and the famous soundtracks of Nino Rota.
