Açıklama

LAHORE: Automotive industry leaders and policy experts have raised serious concerns over significant data contradictions in official government publications, warning that mathematically-flawed statistics could lead to severe resource damage to Pakistan’s two-wheeler manufacturing ecosystem. The controversy centres on the recently published Pakistan Climate Prosperity Plan (CPP). The state blueprint, designed to combat climate vulnerability and mobilize green investments, claims that Pakistan has an estimated 10 million motorcycles on the road, which collectively consume between $6 billion and $8 billion worth of fuel annually. However, industry veterans and data analysts have labelled the claim structurally impossible when cross-referenced with sovereign financial data. Published in Dawn, September 7th, 2026
