Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Akraminia warned Tuesday that US forces would face immediate "heavy fire" in any ground invasion, saying technological advantages would evaporate in face-to-face combat while Tehran and Washington continue trading strikes despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum signed in June to end the war.
