    Security Council, 10228th Meeting (PM) Artificial Intelligence and International Security

    The Security Council will hold a high-level briefing today at 3 p.m. to discuss artificial intelligence (AI) under its "maintenance of international peace and security" agenda item. Convened by France, Council President for September, the meeting will be chaired by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. The Council is expected to hear from Yoshua Bengio, Co-Chair of the UN's Independent International Scientific Panel on AI; Sam Altman, Chief Executive Officer of OpenAI; Dario Amodei, Chief Executive Officer of Anthropic; and Clément Delangue, Chief Executive Officer of Hugging Face.
