Pakistan hükümeti, 2026-27 mali yılı bütçesinde Meteoroloji Departmanı'na (PMD) 1,6 milyar rupi kaynak tahsis etti. Bu fon, hava tahminlerinin doğruluğunu artırmak ve afetlere karşı erken uyarı sistemlerini güçlendirmek üzere kullanılacak. Geçen ay yayımlanan Yıllık Plan 2026-27'ye göre, söz konusu kaynak bir dizi projeyi kapsıyor. Pakistan'ın iklim kaynaklı sel ve sıcak hava dalgaları gibi afetlere karşı yüksek kırılganlığı dikkate alındığında, bu yatırım ülkenin afet yönetimi kapasitesini artırma hedefiyle örtüşüyor.
